Northern Illinois Multi-Jurisdictional Honor Guard
WHAT WE DO
We provided honors to those officers who have dedicated thier lives to serving thier Communities and their Country and who have given the ultimate sacrifice and were lost in the line of duty, those who were off duty at the time of passing and those who were retired at the time of passing. We are a part of the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police, Funeral Assistance Team and respond with Illinois COPS, ILEAS as needed/requested to assist the officer’s family and home agency in whatever capacity it is requested of us.
We can provide assistance from the planning of the services beforehand, assisting the home agency with refresher training for in-service officers who will be Honor Guards during the services, coordination of the services and/or provide complete funeral services, as are appropriate for each officer. Our Team will provide as much or as little assistance as is requested of us by the family.
We also provide memorial services for the annual Police Week events in the Rockford area as well as other special events as approved by the Board of Directors.
The Northern Illinois Multi-Jurisdictional Honor Guard exists to provide three key elements: Recognition, Memory and Honor of the deceased Officer at no cost to the families.

Our Mission Statement
The Northern Illinois Multi-Jurisdictional Honor Guard exists to provide proper funeral and burial rights for Peace Officers who have given the ultimate sacrifice. We strive to assist families and agencies of a deceased Law Enforcement Officer, active duty or retired, with ceremonial assistance to agencies and families not only at the time of death, but as well as in the future. Our ultimate goal is to Recognize, Preserve the Memory and Honor the Fallen Officers. We will work to keep the remembrance of the fallen officer well preserved in the memory of all Law Enforcement Officers, family members and friends. We will always look to the best interest of the survivors and our fallen brothers and sisters. We strive to Recognize, Honor, and Respect the Fallen Officers, which are often overlooked.
